With this tool, you can personalise your step-by-step plan to make accessing aged care clearer. My Guide can help you understand what to consider and how to get the aged care support you need – and to find information, tools and forms relevant to you.

How to use My Guide

You can use as much or as little of My Guide as you like. It will remember what stage of the process you’re at, making it easy to pick up where you left off when you return to the website.

Finding My Guide 

Select the yellow ‘My Guide’ button at the top of any page, or from the menu if you are on a mobile device, to access it.

Once you’ve set up My Guide for yourself, you’ll get a unique link to make it easy to come back to from any device. You can share your unique link with family or friends, so they can support you.

Save information and shortlist providers

When you are using the website, you can save pages and resources in My Guide to return to later. This might be services you would like to speak to the assessor about, or providers that you’re interested in. Look out for the heart icon to save helpful pages, or the ‘Add to shortlist’ button on provider pages when using Find a provider.

Look out for personalised information 

When you use this website, we will save details about your needs and preferences in My Guide. When you use tools such as Find a provider and fee estimators (Support at Home fee estimator and Aged care home fee estimator), you’ll notice some information is highlighted in yellow. This is information we’ve tailored using these details. You can check and edit the information we use to personalise your experience in My Guide.

Your privacy

To protect your privacy, we never collect any personally identifiable information. You can reset My Guide from your dashboard at any time to clear saved information from your device.
