In association with the TV series Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds, the Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) has partnered with the ABC to help older people stay connected and supported in their community.
The Stay Connected and Supported initiative, which was funded by the Australian Government, provides links to a range of services that can help you maintain:
- your individuality
- independence at home, and
- connection within your community.
On the OPAN website you also can watch a range of short films that showcase older people from diverse backgrounds. These people share their experiences of how they are maintaining their independence at home, and staying socially connected at home and within their communities as they age.
